My name is Alison Townsend, and I am entering my 11th year with the Mobile County Public School System. For six of those years, I taught departmentalized math. I earned my Master’s in Elementary Mathematics K-6 in 2022 and was a member of the AMSTI Coaching Leadership Academy. I am thrilled to be in my second year with the Hutchens family as a math coach. My goal is to empower teachers through coaching, modeling, and supporting the effective use of mathematical strategies to enhance students' numeracy development. I am married to my wonderful husband, Deandre, who also works for MCPSS in the IT department. Outside of work, I enjoy fitness, spending time with my family, and seeking new adventures!
